How to Get Aid from Happy Paw Foundation

Happy Paw is a Ukrainian charitable foundation founded in 2012. All this time, we have been developing the charity culture and working to ensure that every stray animal has a home and every person treats animals responsibly!

As of January 2023, the Foundation cooperates with more than 140 shelters throughout Ukraine, which keep more than 19,000 dogs and 12,000 cats.

Happy Paw has 5 main projects and areas of work:

1.One-time assistance to animals in shelters (purchasing and providing foods, medicine for treating seriously ill animals, caring after the animals and improving life conditions of the animals in shelters)

2.Personal distance guardianship over the animals in shelters

3.Finding home for (adoption of) stray animals

4.Bioethics Educational Project – interactive lessons, events and classes for children dedicated to humane treatment of animals

5.Sterilizing stray animals.

The Foundation cooperates with officially registered animal protection organizations (charity foundations, non-governmental organizations, etc.) that take care of more than 40 animals in their locality or region. The Foundation helps only stay cats and dogs.

The Foundation acts independently in choosing shelters to provide aid to by assessing its financial capabilities and the team’s resources.

Aid to shelters is provided exclusively in the form of goods or payment for services. The Foundation does not provide funds (transfer to a personal card) directly.

The Foundation begins its cooperation with a new shelter with the One-Time Assistance Project. The Project provides for assistance once every 3 months.

Shelters that have been cooperating with the Foundation for a long time (more than 6 months) can participate in the Guardianship Project. According to this Project, the Foundation is looking for guardians for the animals from the shelter that participates in the Guardianship Project and for the animals that are included in the appropriate section on the Foundation’s website. The guardians transfer funds to the Foundation every month to provide welfare for these animals. With the funds raised from the Project, the Foundation buys food and necessary medicines for the animals under care every month.

6. After receiving the monthly aid, the shelter shall sign deeds of aid and send them to the Foundation.

Please note! According to the conditions of the Guardianship Project, an animal participating in it can have only one guardian. The shelter cannot start any fundraising for the animal that is under the care of the Foundation. If the shelter does not meet the conditions of the Guardianship Project, the Foundation reserves the right to unilaterally terminate cooperation with the shelter on this Project.

The team of Happy Paw Foundation would like to support and help all stray animals in Ukraine. However, unfortunately, the financial and human resources of the Foundation are insufficient for this ambitious goal. We will continue to work to improve the living conditions of animals in shelters and change the crisis situation with stray animals throughout the country.

We are thankful for trusting us and accepting our values and cooperation conditions!
