The "Give a paw, friend" shelter, managed by Iryna Didur, has been in operation for 14 years.
But it all started long before that, when in front of Iryna's eyes, communal workers shot stray dogs right on the playground: "The first shelter was designed for 50 animals, then the animals became more and more, and I rented the territory near the Metro hypermarket and built my second shelter for 100 animals, after 3.5 years we moved to the center and even then we had 200 animals."
The most difficult thing in the work of the shelter is
A catastrophic lack of places and a constant lack of funds for development.
What motivates
Animal lives saved.
