A modern and comfortable veterinary block with separate manipulation and operating rooms was built by the Happy Paw Foundation with the support of Hojo Foundation in the "Step" shelter in the city of Brody, Lviv region.
The arrangement of these rooms will allow shelter workers to hold newly arrived or sick animals in a warm and comfortable place, which will minimize the spread of diseases and viruses among other animals.
Also, the manipulation room will serve as a room for registration and discharge of animals from the shelter. And the equipped operating room allows you to carry out emergency and scheduled veterinary interventions, sterilize homeless animals directly at the base of the shelter.
Before the reconstruction, the premises were not suitable for keeping animals or for the work of veterinarians, so the renovation work included laying tiles, installing doors and windows, painting the walls, “stitching” the ceiling, electrification, concreting the floor, etc.
