The team of canine specialist Nils Bildt is coming to Ukraine for the third time to help animals suffering from war.
«This being our third relief trip into Ukraine, we did notice both some good and negative changes. While the logistics and supply situation in the capitol region seems to have greatly improved, things remain fraught in the external regions, such as Dnipro, and even more dire as you push further east, into Donetsk.
It is clear that the supplies that have flowed into Ukraine since the war began have not all made it out east, nor have many of the volunteers seemingly. We were, apparently, the first volunteers to visit for example Pavlograd’s shelter, the conditions are not great, despite the staff doing the very best they can, with limited resources. While we will make an effort to come back again, it would also be great if we could generate some more interest from donors, to focus n those most in need in the east of the country».
They delivered 2100 kg of feed, medicine and veterinary tools from Purina, Evidence Animal Hospital and Veterinarians Without Borders to shelters in the Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions:
- Pegasus
- Loyalty, Dnipro
- Giving hope, Pavlograd
- The dog has a wet nose, Dobropillya
- Give a chance, Slovjansk
- Friend, Kramatorsk
Thank you for helping the animals in Ukraine!
