Results of the III International Humaneness Lesson

Conclusions

Today, during the war, when Ukrainian society is experiencing stress, losses and uncertainty about the future, the events that unite and give faith in the victory of good over evil are gaining more and more importance.

The III International Humaneness Lesson dedicated to humane and responsible treatment of animals, which took place on February 26 - March 1 in preschool educational institutions of Ukraine and abroad, has become the very important event.

1,882 educational institutions from all regions of Ukraine and abroad have joined the event!

As usually, foreign kindergartens from Bulgaria, Estonia, Slovenia, Latvia, Lithuania and Montenegro also took part in the event.

In our country, the Humaneness Lesson was held in 885 settlements, including 227 cities, 134 urban-type settlements, and 524 villages. Even kindergartens from the front-line and temporarily occupied territories (Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Verkhniotoretske, Dobropillia, Druzhkivka, Lysychansk, Pokrovsk, Rubizhne, Chasiv Yar) conducted online classes and became participants in the Humaneness Lessons.

In total, as part of the III International Humaneness Lesson, teachers conducted 7,286 humaneness lessons and taught children how to care for animals properly, told them about the dogs and cats body “language”, about the responsibility of owners, the reasons for the appearance of stray animals and shelters, the importance of good deeds and volunteering.

The teachers were not limited to traditional classes, they showed performances, were dressed-up and transformed children into dogs and cats, created photo exhibitions and collages, arranged role-playing games, quests, visited pet stores, vet clinics and shelters, invited dog trainers and volunteers, fed stray animals.

We have submitted all data on the conducted Humaneness Lessons to the National Records Register and are eagerly looking forward to their decision.

Not only the forms of Humaneness Lessons, but also the places where they were held were special. This year, children learned how to treat animals responsibly in bomb shelters, in the subway, and even in OKHMADYT National Children's Specialized Hospital.

We are sure that the classes are an indispensable tool in raising the responsible and humane young generation, they helped children understand the needs of animals, taught them compassion, kindness and care.

We were extremely happy to receive in emails not only photo reports, but also warm feedback from teachers about the importance of holding the event, high evaluation of the free methodical materials developed by our Foundation, and most importantly about the enthusiasm and positive emotions of the children.

Please accept our sincere gratitude from the pupils of Chomusyky group and the teacher of Happy Paw Charity Foundation for the moments of unity of the children in humane and caring attitude towards our four-legged pets. In high spirits, with emblems and bracelets, the little friends of animals were enthusiastic in sharing their impressions, they fondly played the Pet Shop and Secret Box games. And the children were extremely touched by the Happy Paw Fairy Tale🐾."

The children were absolutely delighted with the Humaneness Lesson. They learned how to take care of pets and how to treat and care for tamed animals responsibly. We are thankful for the useful and interesting materials for the classes!"

The Happy Paws Flash Mob was a bright part of the Humaneness Lesson, which was attended by thousands of children and adults in kindergartens and schools. Each participant wore an emblem or a bracelet that symbolized a reminder of the animals that need our support. The participants’ publications about their participation in the flash mob can be viewed on our social networks under the hashtags: #заняття_доброти #happypaw #щасливілапки.

And finally, we would like to share with you the bright moments of the Humaneness Lesson, which the participants recorded in their photo reports. More photos and publications from educational institutions can be viewed on Facebook under the hashtags: #заняття_доброти2024 #happypaw
