The history of the "Manana" shelter began in 2008 when Svitlana Savchenko, the owner of the shelter, found a dog with three broken legs. Currently, the shelter primarily houses animals, such as cats and dogs, after they have sustained injuries.
The hardest part of the job is
In general, care, maintenance: treatment, feeding, cleaning - everything is important.
What motivates to work further
I feel sorry for them. I can't pass an injured dog.
Shelter costs for keeping animals
On average, 200,000 hryvnias per month.
We need about 600 kg of dry food for dogs, plus cereals and minced meat - this is the main thing we feed. For cats, approximately 250 kg of dry food and 200 kg of wet food.
Also, utility costs must be taken into account, many freezers are in operation for storing food for animals. Detergents, washing powders, mops.
Now there is a need for booths, because old people breathe incense. One of the cheapest insulated booths costs 3,500 hryvnias. As well as hay, which we fill the houses with, one purchase is 8,000 hryvnias, plus delivery is 1,000 hryvnias. So you need a lot of money.
The biggest dream
So that all those who bring pain to animals feel it themselves. And all homeless animals had a home where they would be cared for and treated.
