The history of the shelter "Lisa", which is managed by Zoya Dyshlyvenko, began with 5 homeless dogs that settled on a construction site near the apartment where Ms. Zoya lived. The woman worried about these animals until one day she noticed how the children poisoned a purebred dog on them.
It was then that the decision was made to move from Kyiv to the Deleco house outside the city and transport these dogs there. "And then little by little the animals started to add: some were shot, some were poisoned, some were thrown on the track in a bag. At most there were 28 dogs in the shelter," Zoya recalls.
- The hardest part of the job is
The death of my animals
I adore animals, they are my life, they motivate me to move on
- Shelter costs for keeping animals
On average, 30,000 UAH per month.
Feed - 10 bags, that's about 10,000-15,000 UAH
Flea and tick treatments cost about 5,000 UAH
I rent a car for the purchase of meat, cereals, 2 and sometimes 3 times a month for 600 UAH, because I cannot deliver everything at once, firstly, there is only one freezer, secondly, there is not enough money for everything, they live only on my salary, plus your food, for which I always thank you
Repair is a painful topic, you need to change the fence, there is a lot to do, but so far it is only a dream.
I keep the animals alone, we live on my salary. I receive up to 20,000 hryvnias, I hardly spend on myself. There are still expenses for light, firewood, we don't have gas, we cook on electric stoves and heat the house in winter, because almost all the dogs live in the house.
So that there are no homeless animals. R.S. And that all life-eaters die in agony.
