Six Months of Kindness: Happy Paw’s Mid-Year Impact Report

What Happy Paw has already achieved in 2026 and what goals we still want to reach together.

Spaying and neutering

The plan for 2026 — 7,200 animals.

In just 6 months, 4,061 animals have already been spayed and neutered.

Every spay or neuter means hundreds of puppies and kittens who will never be born into homelessness in the future.

The “Bioethics” educational project

  • Held the International Lesson of Kindness
  • 2 flash mobs
  • 2 nationwide campaigns
  • 2 contests
  • Prepared an updated edition of the educational puzzles for children, developed by the Foundation, which is now at the printing stage

We have already exceeded our annual target, but we continue teaching children kindness and responsible attitudes toward animals.

Adoption

As part of the “Sytyi Start” project, we plan to help shelters find families for 3,500 animals.

In the first six months, we helped 1,813 animals find homes.

We also plan to hold 10 Open Days at shelters. So far, we have already held 6 Open Days.

Because one meeting can change a life forever.

Feeding

The annual plan is to receive 17 truckloads of humanitarian pet food.

So far, our partner has delivered 8 truckloads of food, which have been distributed among shelters and volunteers in different regions of Ukraine.

Our goal is to cover 30% of the total monthly food needs of 68 shelters.

Every month, together we feed:

  • 9,920 dogs
  • 6,419 cats

from 68 shelters across Ukraine, providing an average of 47 tons of food every month.

Medical care

The plan is to purchase parasite treatments 6 times a year for 100% of the animals from the approved list of shelters, as well as provide vaccines for 100% of the animals from 11 shelters.

So far, we have made 3 purchases of parasite treatments, totaling 84,308 doses, and have fully vaccinated 100% of the animals in 28 shelters.

In total, 4,706 vaccine doses have already been delivered.

Better living conditions for animals

The plan is to build 3 facilities.

In just six months, we have completed 6 construction projects, including 40 new enclosures, 1 cat house and an outdoor exercise area.

Because every animal deserves a safe place to stay while waiting for their family.

Behind every number are lives saved.

These results have only been possible thanks to everyone who supports Happy Paw: our donors, volunteers, partners and all caring people.

There is still a lot of work ahead. And we want to go through the second half of the year together with you.

Help homeless animals together with Happy Paw.
