As part of our Bioethics educational project, in cooperation with the National Ecological and Naturalistic Center for Students of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, we held the 2nd All-Ukrainian Competition “Humane Treatment of Animals.”
The competition was open to students in Grades 1–4 and 5–7 of general secondary education institutions and extracurricular education institutions. Participants were asked to create an illustration for the story “The White Bowl with Blue Polka Dots.”
We received a total of 3,679 entries, including 2,500 entries from students in Grades 1–4 and 1,179 entries from students in Grades 5–7. The largest number of drawings came from schoolchildren in Donetsk Oblast (410 entries), Cherkasy Oblast (313 entries), and Vinnytsia Oblast (302 entries).
Based on the results of the competition jury’s evaluation, the following winners were selected:
