Due to the full-scale war, the number of homeless animals on the streets of Ukrainian cities and villages is increasing daily. To prevent an environmental disaster, Happy Paw, with the support of its partners, has been running free neutering programs for stray cats and dogs across Ukraine for the fourth year in a row.
Since early 2022, more than 41,000 stray animals have been sterilized in populated areas of Ukraine, including frontline territories.
The neutering program in a settlement is carried out after signing a contract with a clinic or veterinarian, with payments made via cashless transactions. The foundation does not handle the capture, transportation, or housing of animals. Additionally, shelters and volunteers are strictly prohibited from collecting funds for sterilizations financed by the foundation.
To join Happy Paw’s neutering program, you need to submit a request to home4pet@happypaw.ua (read here how to apply and what details to include in the request). The request will be reviewed by the responsible manager, who will contact the volunteer in case of a positive decision.
