Program to provide food for animals in shelters

From July to September, with the support of partners Veterinarians Without Borders, the fund will purchase dry food to support and feed animals in shelters. Chronically ill animals in various shelters of Ukraine will also be provided with the necessary medical feed.

This project aims to ensure sustainable food management and reduce hunger among animals that are permanently in shelters.

Happy Paw maintains regular contact with each shelter to assess their specific needs and ensure that food distribution reaches the facilities most in need and that the efforts of other existing initiatives are not duplicated by the foundation.

In general, in July and partly in June, with the support of partners, the Foundation purchased and handed over 15 029 kg of fodder for 7 688 animals from 46 shelters in 16 regions of Ukraine.

In August, 7,240 animals from 38 shelters managed to provide 12,548.68 kg of dry food, as well as 624.5 kg of medical food for cats and dogs.
