Nationwide Campaign “Give a Paw If You Know”

Completed

For the past 12 years, together with you, we’ve been teaching children how to behave with both pets and stray animals.

But this spring, let’s shake things up a bit! We invite you to take part in our campaign “Give a Paw If You Know” and let children become the examiners for their family members.

Everything is simple: we have prepared 6 questions that adults must answer. At the start of the campaign, the teacher discusses the questions with the students and explains the correct answers. Then, children receive a printed or electronic list of the questions, along with an ID card titled “Expert in the Cat-and-Dog Laws of Ukraine” and badges for adults. At home, the children ask their family members the questions, and the adults answer. If an adult gets something wrong, the child explains the correct answer. As a reward, children may present their parents with the “Passed the Exam in Basic Cat-and-Dog Laws of Ukraine” badge.

You are welcome to take a few photos during the campaign (for example: classroom discussion, badge-giving, family interaction). These photos will come in handy when submitting the participation form (more on that below). You may also post about your participation on social media using the hashtags #happypaw #bioetika #Дайлапуякщознаєш

You can download the badges, ID cards, and list of questions here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/10iJMg_jOOlCcaat-gnWj5n7OIjF6HZb5?usp=sharing

After the Q&A session, students can share in class which answers adults struggled with most.

This campaign is not only a fun and meaningful way for children and adults to spend time together — it also spreads knowledge and promotes humane and responsible treatment of animals among families.

Campaign dates: March 18 – April 25, 2025.

After the campaign, if you wish, you can fill out a form (link at the end of the article) and tell us which questions were the most difficult for adults, as well as share the students’ and your general impressions. Everyone who submits the form will receive a commemorative participant badge to display in the classroom.
