Results of the V International Kindness Activity

Conclusions

In the world with more and more challenges appearing every day, it is especially important to keep the light burning in our souls. Today, when Ukraine continues to fight for its freedom and independence, and Ukrainians live in difficult emotional conditions, it is kindness that becomes the force that unites, supports and inspires. And it is very symbolic that even the smallest Ukrainians learn this important quality from an early age.

This is precisely the purpose of the V International Kindness Activity 2026, an initiative that helps children develop a responsible and humane attitude towards animals. This project has already become a good tradition that has been gathering thousands of caring hearts since 2019.

Our Foundation is sincerely thankful to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for its continued support and cooperation in arranging the Kindness Activity.

This time, 1,853 preschool educational institutions joined the event. The geography of participants is truly impressive: along with Ukraine, representatives of 9 more countries took part – Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia. In Ukraine, the initiative was supported by educators from 850 settlements (231 cities, 154 towns, 465 villages).

The participation of teachers from the frontline and temporarily occupied territories was especially valuable, because even in difficult conditions they find an opportunity to teach children good things.

There were held 7,000 classes, each of which was a small step towards a big goal — raising a sensitive generation. Children learned the basics of animal care, they learned to understand their needs, and learned about the importance of helping homeless animals. However, most importantly, they learned to empathize.

The format of the classes was diverse and creative. Teachers turned ordinary classes into exciting adventures: they organized story-role-playing games, performances, quests, creative workshops, and thematic meetings with specialists. Children enthusiastically tried on the roles of animals, learned to “feel” their world and better understand those who cannot speak words. No less exciting were excursions to veterinary clinics, pet stores, and shelters. Parents also actively participated in the process, which made the learning even deeper and more meaningful.

Even the air raids and the need to hold classes without light and in shelters did not become an obstacle. On the contrary, in such conditions, these meetings took on even greater significance. They gave the children a sense of peace, support, and faith in goodness.

A special part of the project has traditionally been the Happy Paws Flash Mob. It brought together thousands of participants who, through simple symbols - bracelets and emblems - expressed their support for animals. This initiative created an atmosphere of unity and involvement in a great good cause, which the children sincerely loved.

The feedback from teachers shows that such events not only teach, but also leave a mark on the heart. Children become more attentive, kinder, and more open to the world. So, the Kindness Activity is an island of positivity and good tradition for teachers from all over Ukraine. And this is the most valuable result.

"Little hearts conquer the peaks together with the Maliatko

The kids of our preschool (nursery-kindergarten) “Maliatko” joined the V International Kindness Activity. The children had a wonderful opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of kindness by watching the new audio fairy tale called Champion. This story appeared as part of the incredible initiative – Tales from the Paws. We are sincerely grateful to the authors – Kateryna and Artem Zubchenko – for such a valuable gift for the little kids.

Why is this fairy tale so special?

Our children listened to the story with bated breath, because in each line you can feel:

Sincerity, which resonates in children’s souls;

Care, which teaches to support each other;

A kind heart, which inspires real actions.

"Being a champion is not only about awards, but above all about the inner strength and the ability to remain kind," – that is exactly the important lesson our students learned.

We are convinced that projects like "Tales from the Paws" help raise a new generation of sensitive and bright people. We are grateful to the authors for the emotions, meaningful content, and the opportunity to learn kindness through a fairy tale! #заняття_доброти #happypaw #щасливілапки2026"

"Greetings! Preschool No. 9 – the speech development institution joined the initiative (holding the V International Kindness Activity) with great enthusiasm. We managed to implement a real marathon of humanity, which covered the entire preschool. In recent years, we have been working in a front-line city, so all classes were held exclusively in the safe space of the shelter.

Full coverage: 5 groups — 5 meaningful classes.

Participants: from the smallest toddlers to students of older groups — not a single child was left out.

Format: each group went through its own unique path of knowledge — from detective searches for traces with magnifying glasses to practical classes in care and empathy.

Result: 5 classes became a lesson of responsibility for our children, which they will carry into their families.

We are attaching 5 photos that best illustrate the stages of our great Kindness Day."

"Good afternoon! Greetings from Berehynia Preschool Education Institution (nursery-kindergarten) of the combined type No. 4 of the Berdychiv City Council of Zhytomyr region. The number of classes held is 10.

We sincerely thank Happy Paw Charity Organization for the initiative and professional organization of the International Kindness Activities!

Our institution has been participating in this important project for several years, and each time we are convinced that such cooperation is truly valuable. The topic of the classes is extremely relevant for modern children, because the formation of a humane attitude towards animals is a step towards raising a sensitive, responsible and kind personality.

The children found it interesting, emotional and informative. They actively participated in the discussions, empathized with the heroes of the stories, drew their own conclusions and shared their experience of caring for pets. During the classes, preschoolers learned to be attentive to those around them, understand the needs of animals, feel responsible for their lives and well-being.

It is especially valuable that through such initiatives children develop empathy, mercy and awareness of the importance of good deeds in everyday life.

We sent photos of the classes and information about their number – we are proud to share the results of our participation. We really liked the organization, the content of the materials and the opportunity to be part of a large international community that unites around the idea of goodness.

We are grateful for the opportunity to raise a generation of caring, sensitive and responsible children!

We hope for further cooperation and new good initiatives!"

It has become a pleasant tradition for not only educational institutions, but also other organizations to participate in the event. For example, this year one of the participants is Kleban-Byk Regional Landscape Park. Its representatives conducted 6 kindness classes with students from 3 educational institutions in Donetsk region.

Pleasant results are ahead. All participants of the V International Kindness Activity will receive electronic certificates, and the winners of the draw will receive gifts: thematic Pets puzzles and Smart Paws card game. The results of the draw will be published on the website very soon.

Kindness Activity is more than just an educational initiative. It is a reminder that even in the most difficult times we are able to do good deeds. And, perhaps, it is with such small steps that a great and bright future begins and becomes more humane and full of care.

You can find photos and publications of the participants on social networks using the hashtags #заняття_доброти2026 #happypaw

We would like to share the brightest moments of the event that we saw in the photo reports.
