The International Humaneness Lesson is more than just a lesson about animals. It is the day when the warmth of hearts comes to life in every corner of classrooms. It is when children learn to see every living creature as a friend, not an object for fun.
Our Foundation has been holding this Lesson for eight years already, and during this time it has become a special and long-awaited holiday of kindness, which is eagerly awaited by both teachers and children. After all, at a time when the world around us is full of challenges, the Humaneness Lessons become a real reminder: kindness is not a luxury, but a vital necessity. They help children understand that caring for animals begins with simple things – attention, responsibility, love. And, it is such small actions that make great humanity be born and capable of changing the world.

During the Lessons, children were actively engaged in discussions about animals, they learned to understand their feelings, learned how to properly care for their four-legged friends – from feeding and vaccination to sterilization and creating comfortable living conditions.
We are convinced that such knowledge means not only caring for our smaller brothers, but it is also a step towards the formation of a conscious, humane society where every life is valued.

Our Foundation is sincerely thankful to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for its constant support and cooperation in arranging the Humaneness Lesson.
In 2025, teachers held the Humaneness Lessons from October 6 to 15 in 2,180 educational institutions in Ukraine and around the world.
In Ukraine, the Lessons were held in 1,085 settlements – including 239 cities, 241 urban-type settlements and 605 villages.
In total, we have received photo reports from 10,818 Humaneness Lessons!
Thanks to the inspiration and creative approach of teachers, the children learned about the world of animals through quizzes, quests, games, theatrical performances and role-playing as veterinarians and volunteers.
They created posters, photo zones, told stories about their pets, visited shelters, talked with zoo volunteers, and fed stray dogs and cats.

Even air raids and shelling did not stop children's humaneness – many photos from the lessons were taken simply in shelters.

Especially heartwarming were the emails from teachers who conducted the classes remotely, being far from their hometowns as a result of the war. Their words of support prove that humaneness has no borders and knows no obstacles.

The As If It Were Mine Flashmob also added warmth and empathy – children called on other children to “adopt” animals from shelters in Ukraine. The participants’ publications can be seen on social networks using the hashtags #ЯкМій #AsIfItWereMine #HappyPaw #Humaneness_Lesson 2025 .
Traditionally, foreign schools from Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Moldova and Montenegro have joined the Humaneness Lesson.

Within a month, all participating schools will receive certificates of participants of the VI International Humaneness Lesson from our Foundation – they will be sent to the email addresses specified in the applications.
Among the Ukrainian educational institutions that registered on time, actively participated in the initiative and sent high-quality photo reports, we will hold a raffle of board games from our Foundation and Purina TM. The results of the raffle will soon appear on our website.
We are sincerely grateful to everyone who joined the VI International Humaneness Lesson!
Your photos, publications and smiles of children are the best evidence that humaneness lives in the hearts of Ukrainians.
Your care and love for animals are small steps towards a big and kind world.
And, as always, let us share with you a piece of joy – bright photos sent by the participants. Although we can only show a small part of them, even more bright moments can be seen on our social networks using the hashtags #урок_доброти2025 and #happypaw.
