Going through tough times, our country is fighting for its freedom and independence, and Ukrainians are facing stress, loss, and uncertainty. However, we are convinced that kindness and unity has a huge driving force. That is why it is the fourth time that our team has arranged the International Kindness Activity dedicated to responsible treatment of animals in preschool educational institutions.
From February 26 to March 5, 2,114 educational institutions from all over Ukraine and abroad became part of this important event. As usually, kindergartens from Bulgaria, Greece, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, and Slovenia, as well as educators from 977 Ukrainian settlements (228 cities, 174 towns, 587 villages), including frontline and temporarily occupied territories (Bakhmut, Berdiansk, Dniprorudnyi, Enerhodar, Kurakhove, Melitopol, Selidove, etc.) joined us.
Together with the educators, we have managed to hold 7,901 Kindness Activities, where children learned how to properly care for animals, how to understand their behavior, why it was important to help stray animals, and what everyone could do to protect them.
To make the learning interesting and unforgettable, the educators often used methodological materials developed by our Foundation, and also organized various formats: theatrical performances, story-role-playing games, photo exhibitions, making thematic posters, quests, sports entertainment, visits to pet stores, veterinary clinics and animal shelters. Children transformed into four-legged friends, learned to understand their “language” and even met with dog trainers and volunteers. Educational work was also carried out with the parents of the pupils.

Due to shelling and air raids, some teachers were forced to hold the Kindness Activities in shelters. But despite all the difficulties and obstacles, the Kindness Lessons brought the children emotions of happiness, joy, enthusiasm, and positivity over and over again. Which is evidenced by the numerous letters we received from teachers.

It’s been the second year now that the International Kindness Activity also included the Happy Paws Flash Mob, which united thousands of children and educators around the idea of helping animals.

The Flash Mob participants wore special bracelets and emblems as a symbol of support for four-legged friends and spread this initiative in their educational institutions and communities.
The children were very enthusiastic to join the Flash Mob, and teachers noted that it helped the little ones to develop further interest in treating animals humanely. Joyful emotions, team spirit and a sense of involvement in a good cause made the Happy Paws a favorite tradition of the Kindness Activity. You can watch the bright photos and videos of the participants on social networks using the hashtags: #заняття_доброти #happypaw #щасливілапки .
Soon, all participants of the IV International Kindness Activity will receive the Electronic Certificates, and among the most active participants from Ukraine, we will draw Domestic Pets puzzles and a new card game called Smart Paws from our Foundation and Purina TM. We will publish the results of the draw on the website.

In conclusion, we are happy to share with you the brightest moments of the Kindness Activity, which the participants captured in their photo reports. More photos and publications from the educational institutions can be found on Facebook using the hashtags #заняття_доброти2025 #happypaw.
