І. Contest Organizers:
Charitable Organization “Happy Paw Charitable Foundation” and the company "Purina".
ІІ. Purpose of the Contest:
- to promote humane treatment of animals among youth and raise awareness about the adoption of homeless animals into responsible families.
ІІІ. Participants
Students of grades 1–7 of general secondary education institutions and pupils of out-of-school education institutions of the relevant age are invited to participate in the Contest.
ІV. Conditions for Participation
To participate in the contest, you must:
1. Create a drawing of a dog and/or a cat on one of the following topics:
- For grades 1–3: “I’m looking for an owner”. Participants should choose an animal from the shelter section of the website - https://happypaw.ua/ua/shelter and draw its portrait. On the back of the drawing, please indicate the animal’s name and its ID number:
- For grades 4–5: “Now I have a home” (a drawing dedicated to dogs and cats);
- For grades 6–7: “Waiting for Victory with Our Fluffy Friends” (a drawing featuring a dog and/or cat).
2. Send the drawing by May 10, 2025 to one of the following addresses:
- Nova Poshta: +380 (67) 537-50-47, CO "Happy Paw CF", Kyiv, branch No. 93 (31a Shota Rustaveli Street);
- Ukrposhta: 01019, Kyiv, P.O. Box 1, CO "Happy Paw CF".
3. Submit the participation form by May 10 using the following link – https://forms.gle/L8EeRMegCcTsSNTT7
Participation in the contest must be individual.
By submitting an entry, the participant grants the Contest Organizers the right to indefinitely collect, store, process, register, accumulate, update, use and distribute (disclose, transfer) personal data in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”. This data may be entered into the Contest Organizers’ personal data database under the conditional name “Contractors”. The use and dissemination of such data will occur only within the scope required for the organizers' activities and/or the protection of their interests.
By submitting an entry (report), the participant also grants the Contest Organizers the right to publicly display, use, and authorize or prohibit third-party use of submitted photos/videos. Authors transfer copyright to their works to the Contest Organizers, including but not limited to: the exclusive right to use the work and its components, to allow others to use them, and to prohibit such use by others in any form or by any means.
V. Requirements for Entries
1. Illustrations must be original and created by the participant.
2. The entry must be submitted in a format not smaller than A4.
3. Each entry must be accompanied by a “business card” that includes:
- Full name, age, and grade of the author;
- Name and full postal address (village/town/city, region) of the educational institution;
- Email address;
- Contact phone number;
- for grades 1–3: name and ID of the animal drawn;
- Full name and position of the supervisor/teacher (if any).
VІ. Determination of Winners
Winners will be selected within the following age categories: - grades 1–3; - grades 4–5; - grades 6–7.
VІІ. Evaluation Criteria
Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
- relevance to the theme, purpose, and rules of the contest;
- creativity and originality;
- individuality of the work;
- independence of execution.
Entries that do not meet the requirements will not be considered!
Entries will not be reviewed or returned!
VІІІ. Contest Duration
The contest will take place from April to May 2025. Submissions (including the application form) must be sent by May 10, 2025.
ІХ. Awarding the Winners
The contest results and awards will be announced during May–June 2025. Authors of the best works will receive souvenir gift sets from Happy Paw CF and Purina.
The best drawings will also be used in souvenir and educational materials and printed on 2026 calendars.
